Integrate Kenko with Kisi

Kenko is an AI-powered marketing and booking platform for fitness studios that manages memberships, bookings, and operations in one place. Connect Kenko with Kisi to automatically grant or revoke member access based on membership status and bookings, enabling secure, contactless entry without manual front-desk effort.

Prerequisites

• Kisi organization administrator rights with at least one place and door configured
• Door locks online and functioning
• Kenko account with CRM access

Generate a Kisi API key

You need to have organization administrator or organization owner rights to create an API key. We recommend creating API keys from the organization owner's account, to avoid the API key becoming invalid when an organization admin loses their admin rights.

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. On the top right corner, click on your name and click on My Account
3. Next, select the API tab and click on Add API Key
4. Enter your name, your Kisi password, and your verification code and click Add
5. Copy the API key shown on the screen and click Close

Set up the integration in Kenko

1. Sign in to Kenko and navigate to Settings > Kisi
2. Enter your Kisi API key and confirm the connection status shows Connected
3. Link each Kenko facility to the corresponding Kisi place and its doors
4. Under the General tab, set how early members can unlock doors before a class or booking start time (e.g., 60 minutes before)
5. Enable Auto Check-In to automatically check members in when they unlock a door for a booked class
6. If a facility has multiple doors, select which specific door unlock triggers the auto check-in

Once the integration is connected, enable doors at the facility level:

7. Navigate to Facility > Access Permissions and enable the specific Kisi doors members can access for each facility
8. Under the Doors tab in Settings > Kisi, review the list of connected doors to confirm everything is mapped correctly

For auto check-ins to work, you must enable geofence restriction in the Kisi dashboard.

Configure access control

• Map each Kenko facility to the relevant Kisi doors so members can access the correct space
• Configure which membership plans grant facility entry — only members with an active eligible plan receive door access
• Enable booking-based facility access so members automatically receive access when they have a valid class or appointment booking
• Set access time windows to control when members can unlock doors relative to their booking start time
