New features​

Receive weekly place usage analytics directly in your inbox​

We are thrilled to introduce a new Kisi report type: Weekly Place Analytics Reports. Now, you can effortlessly create and download your weekly place report with just a few simple steps. Your report will include:

  • Daily place usage
  • Heatmap of unique user unlocks
  • Weekly unique users
  • Unlocks by credential type
  • The top 5 most frequently used doors
  • Recent failed unlock attempts

Once your report is ready, you can easily download it as a PDF, making it accessible and shareable at your convenience. Additionally, you can also schedule it to be sent weekly to relevant team members.

Stay tuned for more advanced reports coming soon: Door permissions report, Presence reports, Filtered event exports, and Hardware status reports.

Access links enable visitors and temporary staff to unlock doors without needing a Kisi account or mobile app. With our latest update, admins can send access links via text messages, on both web and mobile, providing even greater convenience for authorized users to access spaces.

As a Kisi admin, regular reports can help you enhance security, safety, and to understand how your places are used. That's why we're thrilled to introduce Scheduled Reports, designed to streamline your reporting process and guide you with insights into your facilities. Effortlessly automate user and event reports to be sent directly to the right people in a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence.

New integration: Cisco Webex meets Kisi​

Do you use Cisco Webex at your organization? Now, you can integrate it with Kisi in less than a minute and receive instant Kisi event notifications right in your Webex channels. No more juggling apps or missing important updates.

Troubleshoot your hardware faster with updated controller details​

To help you identify your exact device revision, we improved how controller details are shown under Hardware > Controllers:

  • Revision number allows you to pinpoint your device's exact version, ensuring accurate compatibility and support.
  • Connection type allows you to quickly see whether your device is currently connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

Note: Controller Pro 2 devices with revision numbers below 553xxxxxx still support both Ethernet and Wi-Fi, but for higher revision numbers only Ethernet is available.

Further improvements with the Glofox integration​

The Kisi & Glofox integration enables Glofox admins to synchronize users with their Kisi location and to automatically check users into Glofox whenever they unlock a door at that location. In a recent update, we extended access to credit pack users, allowing them to also utilize Kisi for entry.

Kisi is now available on the Wear OS app. This empowers users with Android smartwatches running Google's Wear OS to unlock doors effortlessly using their Android wearable—no phone required. Embrace convenience and freedom as you access spaces with just a twist of your wrist.

WebAuthn for secure web-based authentication​

We're thrilled to announce that the Kisi mobile and web app now support WebAuthn. With this update, SSO-enabled organizations can enjoy seamless sign-in to Kisi using biometrics and other supported authenticators. To use it, please ensure that your identity provider has WebAuthn configured.

Enable WebAuthn from the organization settings page.

We have implemented an update to our documentation navigation, enabling automatic collapsing of sidebar categories when a new one is opened. This should reduce the number of simultaneously expanded categories and help docs users to focus on the selected section.

Kisi can now detect compromised wiring​

Kisi now offers enhanced configuration options for detecting cut or short statuses in your wiring. These critical events will be conveniently displayed in the Events history as Controller tampered events, providing you with immediate visibility into any tampering attempts.

Kisi admins can enable end-of-line detection when configuring contact sensors and request-to-exit devices.

We are currently working on a major update for our documentation portal to enhance its navigation and make it more user-friendly. As part of this update, we have introduced two new categories under the How-to guides section: Access and Account & Organization. MotionSense now available on Android​

Our MotionSense mobile credential is now available on the Kisi Android app. Unlock doors with just a wave of your hand for a seamless access experience.

View users' logins and sign out active sessions​

Kisi admins can now view and manually sign out users' active logins on both the web and mobile apps.

Held open buzzer on the Reader Pro 2​

We've introduced a new reader buzzer for door held open events. If enabled, a sound will play from the reader whenever the door is held open, alerting those nearby and ensuring your facility's security is never compromised.

Admins can import low-frequency RFID credentials into Kisi via the web UI.

Pause all organization-wide emails from Kisi​

Kisi admins can temporarily pause all organization-wide emails from Kisi until the system is ready to use.
