Integrate Kisi with Allegion wireless locks
Kisi integrates with Allegion's ENGAGE technology, providing seamless support for Schlage NDE and LE smart locks. This allows you to view and conveniently manage all locks across your facility through the Kisi interface.

- Allegion wireless locks: Schlage NDE or Schlage LE
- Allegion gateway: ENGAGE Gateway (GWE) or ENGAGE Gateway 2 (GWE2)
- a Kisi Controller Pro 1 or Kisi Controller Pro 2

How does it work
The Allegion gateway allows the Kisi Controller to communicate with Allegion wireless locks. Each Kisi Controller can connect to one Allegion gateway, and each wireless lock secures one door. The number of wireless lock doors per Kisi Controller depends on the gateway:

These doors are in addition to the doors the Kisi Controller manages with its own readers.
The Allegion gateway is connected to the wireless lock via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Make sure the gateway is no further than 9 m (30 ft) from the locks. We recommend doing a site survey to test your connection strength. If the signal is too weak, try moving your Allegion gateway closer to your lock.
Wire the Allegion gateway
Disconnect power from the Kisi Controller and the gateway before you wire them. Power them up only after all connections are made.
Connect the gateway to the Kisi Controller
The gateway connects to the RS-485 interface of the Kisi Controller, which has three terminals: A, B and GND. This is a 2-wire RS-485 connection, so first set the gateway to 2-wire by installing both of its 2|4-wire jumpers. Then run wires between the terminals of your gateway model as follows.

Power the gateway
Once all connections are made, power the gateway with one of the following sources. Only use one source at a time.
ENGAGE Gateway (GWE):
- Supplied 24 V power adapter - recommended; plug the adapter into a wall socket and the power cord into the gateway
- Power over Ethernet (PoE) - plug a Cat5e cable from a PoE-powered Ethernet connection into the Ethernet port of the gateway
- DC power input - connect a 12 VDC source of at least 330 mA or a 24 VDC source of at least 100 mA, with the positive terminal to + and ground to -
ENGAGE Gateway 2 (GWE2), which comes without a power adapter:
- Power over Ethernet (PoE) - plug a Cat5e cable from a PoE-powered Ethernet connection into the Ethernet port of the gateway
- DC power input - connect a 2-wire DC power source as described in Allegion's GWE2 installation instructions

Both Kisi Controller Pro 1 and 2 support Allegion wireless lock now.
Set up the integration
To set up the integration, please follow the steps outlined in the documents below.
- Set up the hardware by following the hardware installation guide
- Install the software by following the software installation guide
Once set up, the wireless locks will appear in the Kisi interface as additional inputs in the respective place.
Create a door
If you don't have any Kisi doors in place, it's time to set them up. If you've already added the door where the wireless lock is, you can move ahead to configure the lock.
- Sign in to Kisi
- Click on Doors in the sidebar and select your place from the top left dropdown.
- Click on Add Door
- Define the name and add a description for your new door
- Click on Add
Configure your wireless lock
The following steps are applicable for configuring both Schlage NDE and LE products.
- Sign in to Kisi
- Click on Hardware
- Select the place where you want to configure the wireless lock from the dropdown in the upper-left corner of the screen
- Select Controllers
- Select the Kisi Controller Pro that is connected to the wireless lock
- Scroll down to the list of Inputs. If your wireless lock is connected, it will automatically appear under Type
- Choose the input that is assigned to the wireless lock
- Under Search door, select the door to which the wireless lock is installed
- Define the Unlock duration to determine the time the wireless lock should wait after an unlock event before triggering a Held open event
- Click Save
