Assign door to reader
Now that the reader has been assigned to your place, in the next step you will want to configure which door it should be responsible for.
- Kisi Reader
- Legacy reader
- Legacy keypad reader
- Sign in to Kisi
- Open the Place menu and click on the Hardware tab
- Click on Readers
- Select the reader you want to assign a door to
- Under Search doors or elevators, choose the corresponding door
- Click Save
- Sign in to Kisi
- Open the Place menu and click on the Hardware tab
- Click on Controllers and select your Controller Pro 2
- Scroll down to Wiegand connections
- Select the Wiegand device interface to which you wired the legacy reader
- Open the Type dropdown and select Legacy reader
- Open the Search door dropdown and select the door this reader is assigned to

- Open the Place menu and click on the Hardware tab
- Click on Controllers and select your Controller Pro 2
- Scroll down to Wiegand connections
- Select the Wiegand device interface to which you wired the keypad reader
- Open the Type dropdown and select Legacy keypad reader
- Open the Keypad type dropdown and select your keypad type
- Open the Search door dropdown and select the door this keypad reader is assigned to
- Enable the Master code toggle and specify the PIN code that is currently set for this keypad
- Enable the Two-factor authentication toggle if users should provide a physical credential and a PIN to gain access
- Click Save
If you enabled two-factor authentication for your keypad reader, make sure to enable this also for those third-party credentials that should have access to this door.
