Badge printing

The Badge Printer add-on lets admins design and generate professional employee badges directly from the Kisi web dashboard. Badges can include your company logo and user title, and are exported as a PDF that you download and print on any compatible printer. Whether for daily use or special events, it ensures the employee identification process is both efficient and polished.

info

This Badge Printer generates a PDF that you download and print yourself on any printer. It is not the same as the automatic badge printing on the Kisi Kiosk Pro, which prints visitor badges directly to a connected Brother label printer at the moment of check-in.

Organization administrators can also delegate badge printing to non-admin users. To grant access, inside the badge printing app, click on your email in the top right corner, select Manage User Access, and choose the person who should manage badge printing.

Set up the Badge Printer

  1. Sign in to Kisi
  2. Click the integrations icon (3x3 grid of dots) > Add Integration
  3. Provide a name for your integration and select Badge Printer from the dropdown
  4. Click Add

Create a badge

  1. Under Search user select the user for whom you would like to create a badge. Note: the user must have an image set in Kisi, as this will be added to the badge.
  2. Under Details, enter the title of the user, e.g., "Sales Manager"
  3. To upload a logo, click on Upload and select your company logo
  4. Click Save
  5. Click Print. This will generate and download your user badge as a PDF. You can print this on your physical badges.

Whenever you need to create new badges, simply navigate to Settings > Integrations, click on the Badge Printer integration that has already been added, and then click on Configure Integration.

Assign a card to a user

You can also assign physical credentials to users directly from the Badge Printer integration:

  1. Under Search user, select the user you want to assign a card to
  2. Click Assign Card
  3. Choose the card type from the available options
  4. Enter the card's ID/token/UID
  5. Click Assign and Activate
info

Not all supported credential types are available to be assigned within the Badge Printer integration. For the full range of credential options and detailed instructions, see the physical credentials documentation.

Accessing the Badge Printing app as a non-admin user

Admin users can share access to the app with non-admins when it needs to be used by team members who don’t have full admin rights.

To share access:

  1. Sign in as an organization administrator.
  2. Go to the app and click Manage User Access in the top-right menu.
  3. Add the users you want to grant access to and click Save.

Once granted, the app will appear in their navigation, and they’ll be able to use it without needing full admin rights.
