Configure contact sensors
Once you have configured your controller, you can further expand your Kisi setup by adding contact sensors to it.

- Controller Pro 1.1
- Sign in to Kisi
- Navigate to the Place menu and select the place where you want to configure the contact sensor for
- Navigate to Hardware in the left-hand menu and select Controllers
- Select the Controller Pro 2 that has the contact sensor wired to
- Scroll down and click on Inputs
- Select the input that has the contact sensor wired to
- Under Type, select Contact sensor
- Under Door, select the door the contact sensor is mounted to
- Under Duration, define how long the contact sensor should wait after an Unlock event before triggering a Held open event
- Under End of Line Type section, specify the desired end-of-line status that you want Kisi to detect:
- Cut detect: Detects if the wiring is cut.
- Short detect: Detects if the wiring is shorted.
- Cut and short detect: Detects both cut and shorted wiring scenarios.
- Enable the toggle
- Click Save
- Sign in to Kisi
- Navigate to the Place menu and select the place where you want to configure the contact sensor for
- Navigate to Hardware in the left-hand menu and select Controllers
- Select the Controller Pro 1.1 that has the contact sensor wired to
- Scroll down and click on Contact sensors
- Select the input that has the contact sensor wired to
- Under Search door, select the door the contact sensor is mounted to
- Make sure you enable it
- Under Unlock duration, define how long the contact sensor should wait after an Unlock event before triggering a Held open event
- Click Save

Cut/short detections will be displayed as Controller tampered
events under Event history.
Remove contact sensors
You can anytime disable your contact sensors using the same Hardware tab.
