Configure Kiosk door unlock

The Kisi Kiosk acts as a reader. Users unlock the door by scanning the QR code on the Kiosk. If a third-party integration uses the door linked to the Kisi Kiosk to trigger check-ins, unlocking via the Kiosk will trigger those check-ins just as unlocking the door at any other reader would.

Register the Kiosk in your Kisi organization​

  1. Sign in to Kisi
  2. Navigate to Hardware
  3. Click on the Kiosk tab
  4. Enter the Kiosk's token and name it
  5. Click Add

Once registered, assigning a door is optional. If you only want to use the Kiosk for visitor management, bookings, or promotions, you can skip the door assignment and configure those applications directly.

Assign a door​

  1. Navigate to Hardware > Kiosk and click on the Kiosk you want to configure
  2. Search for and select the door that will unlock when users scan the QR code at the Kiosk
  3. Click Save

Unassign a door​

  1. Navigate to Hardware > Kiosk and click on the Kiosk you want to configure
  2. Click the X button next to the assigned door to remove it
  3. Click Save
