Assign reader to place

As a first step, you need to assign your reader to a place.

note

This instruction only applies for Kisi readers. If you have legacy readers, you can go ahead and assign a door to the reader.

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. Navigate to the Place menu
3. Slect the place you want to configure the reader for
4. Click on Hardware
5. Select the Readers tab, and click on Add Reader
6. Under Token, enter the token printed on your Kisi Reader
7. Under Name, define a name that will help you identify this specific reader
8. Click on Add

Deassign readers

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. Navigate to the place where you have your reader assigned
3. On the dashboard, click on Hardware
4. Select the Readers tab
5. Click on the reader that you wish to deassign
6. Click on Delete reader in the top right corner
7. If you are planning to reassign this reader, click on Copy token to save the device token
8. Click Delete

After deletion, you will receive an email notification confirming that the corresponding Kisi reader has been deassigned.
