Add your Yubikeys to Kisi

Developed by Yubico, a YubiKey is a small, portable hardware device used for secure authentication. As long as the YubiKey has NFC capability, you can enroll it with Kisi just like any other third-party NFC card. Based on your enrollment preferences, follow the instructions in the tabs below.

Enter card data

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. On your organization dashboard, click on Credentials
3. Click on Add credential and select Single credential
4. Select the Enter card data tab (selected by default)
5. Under Card Type, select 3-rd party NFC 4/7 byte
6. Under Card UID (Hex), enter the card token printed on the card (case sensitive)
7. Under Assign to user, enter the email address of the user you want to assign this card to (required)
8. Click Add

Scan at a Kisi Reader

Enrollment mode is always on for the reader, no action is required to enable it.

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. On your organization dashboard, click on Credentials
3. Click on Add Credential and select Single credential
4. Select the Scan at reader tab
5. Under Search place, select the place where the reader you want to use for scanning is installed
6. Under Search door, select the door connected to this reader
7. Under Select reader, select the Kisi reader you want to use for scanning. If the selected door has only one reader assigned, it will be selected by default.
8. If you selected a Kisi Reader Pro 2, under Credential type, select High Frequency NFC
9. Scan your credential by tapping it on the reader
10. Once the credential has been detected, enter the email of the user you want to assign it to
11. Click Assign. If you want to scan another card, click on Assign and scan another

Scan with the Kisi Android app

1. Enable NFC on your Android device under Settings > Device connection > Connection preferences > NFC
2. Open your Kisi Android app
3. Tap on the Home icon to open the admin dashboard
4. Tap on Assign card
5. Bring your credential to your phone so that the NFC reader in your device can read it. Alternatively, you can tap on Enter manually, enter the card token and tap on Submit
6. Once the credential has been found, enter the user's email address you want to assign it to
7. Tap on Assign
8. Tap on OK
