Add an elevator to Kisi

Kisi for elevators can be installed as a standalone solution for the entire facility, or run in parallel with other systems.

Prerequisites

• Organization administrator rights
• An elevator installed at your facility, and its license assigned to your account
• An elevator integration set up in your Kisi place

Once you have installed an elevator and set up the integration in Kisi, you can go ahead and configure it on the web dashboard.

Create a floor

1. Sign in to Kisi
2. Navigate to the place you want to add the elevator to
3. Click on Floors > Add Floor
4. In the Name field, define the name of your floor
5. In the Number field, define the floor number
6. In the Description field, add any additional information about the floor
7. Click Add

Create an elevator

1. Navigate to Elevators > Add Elevator
2. Define the elevator name and a description
3. Under Search Integration, select the Braxos integration
4. Add the elevator to all existing floors or specific floors only
5. Click Add

Assign elevator to a controller

Once you have created a floor and an elevator, the next step is to assign it to a controller by configuring its relays.

1. Navigate to the place where you have added the elevator
2. On the place dashboard, click on Hardware
3. Select the Controllers tab and click the controller you want to assign to the elevator
4. Click on Relays. This corresponds to the numbered relay on the Kisi Controller Pro to which your elevator was physically wired.
5. Select the correct relay
6. Under Connected to, select Floor
7. Under Search elevator, select your elevator
8. Under Unlock duration, define how many seconds the elevator door should remain unlocked
9. Click Save

Assign an elevator to a reader

As a last step, you need to assign your elevator to a reader.

Elevator access always requires tapping on the reader. This means that users cannot access elevators by tapping in the Kisi mobile app or by using email-based credentials.

1. Navigate to the place where you have added the elevator
2. On the place dashboard, click on Hardware
3. Select the Readers tab and click the reader you want to assign to the elevator
4. Under Search doors or elevators, select your elevator
5. Click Save
