Set first to arrive schedules

First to arrive schedules work alongside Unlock schedules. As an organization or place administrator, you can use them to postpone the start of an unlock schedule until the first authorized unlock, or end an active unlock schedule early when the last person leaves the facility.

Set a first to arrive schedule

  1. Sign in to Kisi
  2. On your place dashboard, click on Doors
  3. Select the door you want to set a first to arrive schedule for
  4. Scroll down and select the Unlock schedules tab
  5. Click on Add schedule
  6. Select First to arrive
  7. Enter a name for your new schedule
  8. In the Type dropdown, choose between Single event or a Recurring event:
  • For Single Events, you can select the first to arrive schedule to occur all day and for a specific time window
  • For Recurring Events, you can select the first to arrive schedule to occur on a specific day within a time period, or have the door unlocked all day
  1. Add a start/end date and time
  2. Click Save

Edit or disable first to arrive schedules

First to arrive schedules are presented in a weekly preview by default. To edit, disable or delete a schedule, you must switch to the list view.

  1. On your place dashboard, click on Doors
  2. Select the door you want to modify a first to arrive schedule for
  3. Scroll down and select Unlock schedules tab
  4. Open on the Weekly preview dropdown and switch to List view
  5. Based on what you want to achieve, follow the instructions below:
  • Edit: open the schedule and make your adjustments
  • Enable/disable: navigate to the schedule you want to enable/disable, and use the toggle next to it. Alternatively, you can select it using the checkbox on the left, and click Enable/Disable
  • Delete: select the schedule you want to delete using the checkbox on the left, and click Delete

Reset a First to arrive schedule

By resetting the First to arrive schedule, you are manually terminating an active Unlock schedule. You can achieve this by setting up a request-to-exit button specifically for this task. When the last person is leaving the facility, they can push this button to wrap up an active Unlock schedule ahead of time.

To connect the button to the controller, refer to our guide on wiring a request-to-exit button to the controller.
