Set door restrictions
By configuring door restrictions, unlock and access schedules, you can control how and when users can access your door.
- Click on Doors in the sidebar and select your place from the top left dropdown.
- Click on the door you want to set restrictions for
- Select the Permissions tab
- Adjust according to your needs:
- Geofence Restriction: If enabled, the door only allows unlocks from users that are within a distance of maximum 300 meters (~0.2 miles) from the building. Users further than that will be denied access. By default, Geofence Restrictions use the coordinates of the address set under Place Settings.
- Reader proximity restriction: If enabled, the door only allows unlocks from users that are standing in front of the door, using the Kisi Reader.
- Click Save
Adjusting geofence coordinates
By default, Geofence Restrictions use the coordinates of the address set under Place Settings. If the door is located far from the main address and you need the Geofence Restriction to use different coordinates, you can easily adjust them to reflect the correct location of an individual door.
- Click on Doors in the sidebar and select your place from the top left dropdown.
- Click on the door you want to adjust geofence coordinates for
- Select the Advanced tab
- Enter the preferred coordinates under Latitude and Longitude
- Click Save
If left blank, the place address coordinates will be used by default.
