Set an access schedule for a group

Access schedules applied to a group make sure this group is only allowed access during a defined time period. For example, you can make sure that a certain group is only allowed access during weekdays. If users of this group attempt to unlock doors outside of the defined time period, they will be denied access.

  1. Navigate to the group you want to set an access schedule for
  2. On the Group overview page, select the General tab
  3. Scroll down to Access schedules
  4. Enable the Time restriction toggle
  5. Click on Add schedule
  6. Select Access
  7. In the Type dropdown, choose between Single Event or a Recurring Event:
  • For Single Events, you can select the access schedule to occur all day and for a specific time window
  • For Recurring Events, you can select the access schedule to occur on a specific day within a time period, or restrict access on that door all day
  1. Add a start/end date and time
  2. Click Save

info

Users who are part of several groups will gain access if at least one group allows access. For example: Joe is a part of Group A and Group B. Group A allows access to Door A, but Group B doesn't. Since Joe is a part of Group A, he is allowed access to Door A.
