Integrate Robin Powered with Kisi

The Robin Powered integration allows Kisi-controlled doors to automatically check users into Robin upon badge swipe. Users are checked into their reserved desks or, if no reservation exists, marked as a visitor for the day. This streamlines the check-in process and offers real-time data on attendance and location.

Prerequisites

  • Kisi organization administrator rights
  • A Robin Powered plan that includes access to the integration features.

Generate a Kisi API key

You need to have organization administrator or organization owner rights to create an API key. We recommend creating API keys from the organization owner's account, to avoid the API key becoming invalid when an organization admin loses their admin rights.

  1. Sign in to Kisi
  2. On the top right corner, click on your name and click on My Account
  3. Next, select the API tab and click on Add API key
  4. Enter your name, your Kisi password, and your verification code and click Add
  5. Copy the API key shown on the screen and click Close

Configure the integration in Robin

  1. Sign in to Robin
  2. In the web dashboard, navigate to Manage > Integrations on the left
  3. On the Integrations page, scroll down to the Access Control section
  4. Locate Kisi and click Connect to begin the setup process
  5. Under Authentication, click the Connect Kisi Account button
  6. A popup window will appear, asking you to enter the API Key from your Kisi account
  7. Enter the previously generated API key in the popup window and click Connect. Afterward, you'll see a table mapping Kisi Door IDs to their respective buildings and floors.
  8. Use the table to select the relevant buildings, doors, and floors where you want to enable automatic check-ins via Kisi
  9. Click Save
  10. Review and confirm your changes and click Save
