Controllers are the heart of the access control system as the central hardware unit that enables access to the doors. Kisi Controller Pro devices are IP-based devices responsible for sending the signal of unlocking to the access points.

The Kisi Controller Pro 1.0 is no longer sold, but it is still supported and receiving firmware updates. For more information, check Installing Kisi Controller Pro 1.0.
The Kisi Controller Pro 1.1 is the latest version of our controller sold to new customers. Our latest controller offers significant improvements to robustness, making the controller safer and more stable by preventing problems should cables be wrongly wired. In those cases, red warning lamps will indicate where the cabling problem is located.
The rest of this article is focused on the Kisi Controller Pro 1.1.

The Kisi Controller Pro is designed to be flexible and have multiple data in/outputs:
- Relays: 4 dry or wet door relays
- Request to exit (Rex): 4 request to exit inputs
- Contact sensors: 4 door contact sensor inputs
- Internet: Wired (Ethernet) and 2G + 5G WiFi
- Power consumption: 24VDC (included)
- Wet relays: Supply low voltage power for electric strike. Total amount pulled from relays not to exceed 2A.

The Kisi Controller Pro works with any existing electronic locks: Mortise Locks, Electric Strikes, Magnetic Locks, or Panic Bars.
The administrator experience benefits include Plug & Play connection and absolute control with the Kisi Dashboard for easy managing and programming of in- and outgoing connectors.
The Kisi Controller Pro 1.1 is the latest version of Kisi Controllers. The difference with previous versions is that it cannot break, meaning that it is safe if something is not correctly plugged and it won't get damaged.

Using the provided mounting plate, drill two holes for the wall anchors, then insert the wall anchors into the holes. Next, screw the mounting screws into the wall anchors and then hang the Controller Pro 1.1 on the screws, using the holes in the back of the Controller Pro 1.1 case.

With a fail secure electric lock, if the power is interrupted or fails, the door stays locked. If we are using a wet contact, it means that the power will be supplied by the same circuit where the contact is connected.
For a fail secure electric lock with wet contact, here is how the connections must be made:
Magnetic locks are an easy to install and quick to operate option. They can only work as fail safe as it requires a power supply to work. Fail safe means that if the power is interrupted or fails, the door automatically unlocks.
For a fail safe magnetic lock with wet contact, the connections must be made like the following:
